Many thanks for the response, Alice. Not sure I know what you mean by "veered off into some other place" if you've seen the postings here for a long time. Sometimes I do serious opinions and takes on all kinds of things--politics, culture, music and, as the subtitle of the blog goes, "just about everything or anything" that strikes his fancy."
I have all kinds of diverse interests, rock and roll and pop culture included, and comedy and comics as well. I did point out that I liked nothing about George Carlin's anti-Christian militancy but I do think he was a comic genius.
Also, my motto here--which like so much of the blog is done with irony and humor and a tongue-in-cheek style that "alienates whole towns" and disappoitnts or offends just about everybody sooner or later, bespeaks my incurable but genuine, honest-to-God spirit.
glad the Noon Wines have spoken to you and I will keep those coming here always, along with all kinds of biblical, spiritual, theological stuff that I aim to get people of all faiths (and no faiths) to think about.
I will be blogging even from Belize, where I will be taking a "working vacation" to write some theological books for lay readers and Christians, not for theologians or biblical scholars. Also, going there for some intense immersion to become fluent in Spanish--and to discern God's will for whatever God wants me to do with fluency and immersion in Latin culture and language.
Anyway, thanks again for your kind and honest response! I really do appreciate it and hope God's rich blessings upon you!

Am disappointed that you have veered off into some other place. For a long, long, time I have enjoyed your posts - especially Noon Wine and others. Most have been truly beautiful and inspirational - interpretations that I have never seen anywhere else. Would like to see this type of material continue up until the time that you leave.

George Carlin was inappropriate. I was disappointed to see it on this site.

It is good that you are taking a one-year vacation to Belize.

The "International Date Line has moved" - you aren't a day late, my friend. A clothes nut eh? For me that is cotton pants and a T-shirt inside - jeans and T-shirt outside. Go grab that gusto while you can, Paul. Possibly one of my many trips through Dallas could have a side-trip to Belize (by plane of course).
