If “The Little Drummer Boy” were a roach, I’d smother it in Raid Ant & Roach Killer (fresh lavender scent).
I guess I was–I dunno, four-, five-years-old–the first time I heard “The Little Drummer Boy.” I probably cried or maybe ran away from home or from wherever I was at that moment.
I want to run away even now, lo these many decades later, if “The Annoying Drummer Boy” comes within even remote range of my ear buds.
That said, this is a cool version of it that I can live with, maybe even get to like.
It’s completely different.
In addition to ‘Little Drummer Boy’ you could listen to the repetitive sounds of ‘The 12 (or whatever) Days of Christmas,’ both of which make me dream of being a bah humbug hermit for the next month at my mountain cabin. Those 2 songs are as bad as ‘The Lonely Goat Herd’ from the great musical. I’ll take ‘Father Christmas’ by The Kinks or ‘Christmas Song’ by Jethro Tull any day!
“Twelve Days of Christmas” is indeed another stink bomb of a song, for sure, good buddy.
not one of my favorite Christmas songs, either, but I could sure listen to these folks for an extended period of time. would love to hear others songs done by them.
thanks for sharing Bro Paul!
Indeed there is talent in Pentatonix!!! Does anyone remember a similar group from the past called Rockapella? Hmm, they are still working. See:
