How you-know-who (TRUMP) spent his July 4th: trashing Jeb Bush and his lovely wife Columbia by tweeting to Jeb that “You like Mexican illegals because of your wife.”
-
“Donald Trump appears to have deleted a tweet he quoted that made questionable comments about Jeb Bush and his wife.
“On July 4th, Trump quoted another user’s tweet which claimed to know why Bush likes “Mexican illegals.”
“The tweet appeared to be live for 24 hours before Trump deleted it. Bush’s wife, Columbia, is Mexican.” (From the National Hispanic Media Coalition)
We have all these many problems that our leaders should be dealing with in grown-up fashion (with reason, class and dignity, that is)–including the real problem of immigration.
And yet we’re stuck with all these loud clowns and supposed Christian candidates (like Huckabee and others) with their angry “inner childs” obsessing over “illegals” and Supreme Court rulings that are, like it or not, the laws of the land.
They just can’t accept what they don’t like, like over-grown children who can’t get their way. (This just in to News Central: A lot of God-loving younger adults like my Democrat daughter and her Republican little sister, were very happy about the gay marriage ruling. And then there’s the Walker fam. SEE HERE.)
We of my generation grew up admiring JFK, who, for all his flaws and sins in his and his family’s private life, conducted the nation’s business with so much class and led with so much dignity that he had enormous influence over even his political enemies, not to mention influence on the nation and the American people he truly served.
(We also grew up admiring the long-suffering Kennedy women and others of the family, btw, for how they dealt with so much tragedy and grief.)
The current generation will grow up admiring a lot of angry, undignified men.
Tomorrow’s headlines are waiting to be writ large and with lots of !!!!!!:
-
Angry Trump threatens to sue everybody in America who doesn’t like him!!!
Huckabee calls on Christians to take up arms and raid the Supreme Court building!!!!
You nailed it, Paul. So true–they act like a bunch of undisciplined children. Makes me ill.
