The task of the Christian leader is to bring the best out in man (sic) and lead him forward to a more human community…”

Speaking of nuclear overkill (see the previous post here)…
This is from John Brody’s “The Brody File” at CBN, the Christian Broadcast News network:
-
Sometimes you’ve got to stop evil. It’s biblical.
In North Korea, it’s pretty clear that their dictator is downright evil.
So tonight, Pastor Robert Jeffress, a longtime evangelical backer of Donald Trump, just released a statement saying the president has the moral authority to take out Kim Jong Un.
This comes after Trump said today that if North Korea continues to threaten the U.S. then they will “be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”
Here’s the statement given to The Brody File:
“When it comes to how we should deal with evil doers, the Bible, in the book of Romans [13], is very clear: God has endowed rulers full power to use whatever means necessary — including war — to stop evil.
In the case of North Korea, God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong-Un. I’m heartened to see that our president — contrary to what we’ve seen with past administrations who have taken, at best, a sheepish stance toward dictators and oppressors — will not tolerate any threat against the American people.
When President Trump draws a red line, he will not erase it, move it, or back away from it.
Thank God for a President who is serious about protecting our country.”
Folks, get ready. I’ve warned for a long time that North Korea was the biggest problem all along. Memo to North Korea: with Trump as president, you really don’t want to mess with America. This could get real ugly real soon. Trump won’t tolerate this for too much longer.
Yes, Pastor Robert Jeffress, leader of the big, bizarre, apocalyptic and most un-Christian First Baptist Church of Dallas (see here), still has the ear of the President of the United States of America.
As a result, we have a POTUS threatening North Korea’s clearly evil leader in the most hawkish and apocalyptic terms.
By the biblical reasoning of “Pastor” Jeffress — whose apparent task as a Christian leader is encouraging the president to kill masses of people — God has given the POTUS the green light to “take out” every other leader in the world whom he so much as perceives as evil.
So while we’re obliterating North Korea, why not snuff out another leader who is clearly evil — the leader of Syria?
Assad is so evil he gasses “precious babies,” remember?
Remember how the POTUS had a revelation upon seeing film of God’s most vulnerable children killed in such an unthinkably evil way?
See here if your memory falls short.
This fire-and-fury nuking the president envisions would, according to the pastor of the Baptist megachurch in Dallas, be completely justified by God.
Or maybe Trump envisions a “fire and fury” takeout by some of those 21-ton bombs. They too would kill masses of God’s precious, innocent men, women and little children.
But so be it: God is going to take care of AMERICA!!! (USA! USA! USA!)
And just read Romans 13: God gives Trump the authority to take out anybody he wants to and “collateral” damage–and fire-and-fury responses from who knows who else in the world be damned.
The Kremlin and the leader of Russia, for example, which everyone except Donald Trump and perhaps Jeffress knows is evil to the bone.
Once more for the record: this is not Christianity.
This fire-and-fury default response is not even biblical.
This is Trumpianity (see here) and also here.
Resist it.
